Summer Keyboard Exploration Camp
We’re thrilled to offer an educational camp that combines quality instruction and plenty of fun!
Over the course of 5 days, top-tier music educators will guide students around the world, exploring a different country and composer each day. Students will have their own keyboard as we visit Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in Austria (and make his wig!), improvise on the pentatonic music of Japan, and learn to play a song in Keyboard Exploration class. Along the way, they will receive performance skills and foundations in music theory. For students with piano experience or just beginning their studies. Parents are invited to join our final class to see and hear what the students have accomplished! (requires 6 students to make)
Session 1: June 16-20, M-F, 9:30-12:00 for entering K-4th graders
Session 2: July 7-11, M-F, 9:30-12:00 for entering K-4th graders
Summer Strings Camp
WE HAD SO MUCH FUN AT THE FIRST TWO CAMPs THAT THE Fort Worth Conservatory is AGAIN thrilled to host our 3RD annual Strings Camp- a wonderful week of Chamber music for musicians entering grades 4 – 12.
For four days, students with at least one year of study in Violin, Viola, Cello, or Double Bass and who can read music will experience the art of leading, listening, and working together in small and large ensembles.
Other daily classes include composition/theory, learning to rehearse with an accompanist, and improvising. These young musicians will find self-awareness, develop confidence, and build friendships as they work with the top-tier Conservatory faculty.
On the final day of camp, students and faculty will enjoy a pizza lunch together followed by a final performance to which parents and friends are invited!
